Grammys: Congratulations! Hillsong Composer Wins Gospel

Zealand singer and song writer Brooke Fraser won the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for “What a Beautiful Name” at the 60th Grammy Awards in New York.

Besides her hit single “Something in the Water” Fraser was also an active member of the Hillsong church’s music composition team.

“What a Beautiful Name” was Fraser’s smashing single that contributed to winning Billboard’s Top Christian Artist of 2017 and two Dove Awards for Song of the Year and Worship Song of the Year in 2017.
The song was composed in December 2015 in Sydney, Australia, for the upcoming Hillsong Conference.

Also, New Zealand singer Lorde is nominated for album of the year for Melodrama, but she has competition from Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino and Bruno Mars.
