EL kanah is a student of National Open university of Nigeria Abuja, songwriter, and a worship leader at Family Worship Center, Abuja.
The inspiration of the song came when I was going through tough times where I needed to choose my priority in life and voices were telling me what to prioritize and which happened to be things that can take away the place of God in me. Immediately, I was reminded of how much God means to me, how He saved me, how often I’ve experienced His unconditional love, and at this point I responded with a rhetorical question in pidgin English: “If I No Praise You (God) Wetin I Gain? If I don’t brag of you, testify of you, live for you what is my gain? After all you are all that I have.
If I must live I must live for you alone.
