“He That Shall Receive From The Lord” – Lazarus Muoka

Many people who complain about unanswered prayers are into all sorts of evil and abomination. Some are into adultery, fornication, abortion while some are kidnappers, liars, thieves and so on. One cannot be living under the roof of the wrath of God and at same time be expecting answer to prayers from God.

Your prayers and fasting mean nothing to God if you are a wicked person because God cannot be bribed by all these things. At times such serious prayers often lead to sickness or illness. This is the problem confronting many people today, because when they pray or go to church without repenting from their wickedness, instead of getting solution to their problems, they get or acquire more pro-blems. The reason is because they are approaching God in un-righteousness.

These people do these things because they do not know the ways or principle of God.

Isaiah 1:15-18 says, “And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. 16. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17. Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. 18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

Where men are given to evil, deceit, cruelty, treachery, cheat-ing and extortion, there God will show His anger and never give answer to their prayers. If you would have your sacrifices accept-ed, and your prayers answered by God, you must repent and amend your ways. It is not enough to be sorrowful for your wickedness or the sin committed, what God required from you is to break off from the wickedness so that you can behold His presence.

Though your sins may have been as scarlet and crimson, by many backslidings, many abort-ions committed, many robberies, kidnappings, lies, adulteries, fornication and other wickedness committed, yet the mercy of God will locate you and you will be qualified to receive answer to your prayers from Him.

Isaiah 59:1-3 says, “Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.”

Sin is the chief problem of man in the world. The eyes of the Lord cannot behold iniquity. The prayer of the sinful man is an abominat-ion unto the Lord, thus such man can never receive from the Lord. Such person is not qualified to receive anything from the Right-eous God. If you must receive from the Lord, you must cease to do evil, shed no more innocent blood, amend your ways and mortify all those vicious affections and dispositions which can lure you into sin again.

You must put away not only that evil of your doings which is before the eye of the world, by refraining from it, but most importantly that which is before God’s eyes, the roots and habits of sin, and those that are in your hearts; these must be crushed and mortified.

Our God is all powerful; with Him all things are possible. And He is ever ready to answer our prayers whenever we met His requirement. If our prayers are not answered, and the salvation we wait for is not wrought for us, it is not because God is weary of hearing our prayers, but because He hears not sinners. Therefore the only assurance we can have to receive from Him is to maintain righteousness and holiness.

We should stop apportioning blames to our father, mother, sisters, brothers, aunties, uncles etc. for being the cause of our problems. These are not cause of our problem, for our problem or inability to receive answer and blessing from God lies on our repentance.

Proverbs 21:27 says; “The sacrifice of the wicked is abomi-nation: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?”

God does not answer abomina-ble prayers. So many people are wasting their time in praying while they are in sin. These people will only succeed in pro-voking the wrath of God and their problem will be multiplied rather than be solved.

Jeremiah 14:12 says, “When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.”

Anyone expecting healing, deli-verance or breakthrough from the Lord must be genuinely repented. Otherwise their prayer shall be rejected, because it is the mere cry of nature for deliverance from pain and not that of repentance for deliverance from sin. God cannot give heed to them because their prayers are hypocritical and their hearts are still idolatrous, yet they pray.

Psalm 24:1-5 says; “The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.”

All materials, financial and spiritual blessings are the in-heritance of the children of God and if you must benefit from it, you must be in a righteous state. There is a qualification and criteria for those who seek God’s blessing. If you are subject to God (inwardly and outwardly), and you are living according to the will of God, the moment you lift your voice in prayer, heaven will be attentive unto you. If you are like this, He will make you qualify for His divine glory from above.

Amend your ways and reconcile yourself with Jesus Christ; make sure you are a child of God whose name is written in the book of life.  If you will not do anything that is contrary to the will of God, if you do not compromise yourself and return to your former life; i.e. the worldly way of sin, God will bless you as his own child being the father of the earth. For the Bible says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you.”
