Former Ballon d’Or winner and AC Milan legend George Tawlon Manneh Oppong Ousman Weah has been elected President of Liberia.
The 1995 FIFA World Player of the Year and Ballon d’Or winner, succeeds President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, in a contest that completes the country’s first democratic transition of power in more than 70 years.
Liberia is breaking all sorts of records, they elected the first female president in Africa, now they have elected Africa’s only Ballon d’Or winner, George Weah as president.
