EGBERUN AHON is a Yoruba word meaning “A thousand tongues”
The Song tells of a thousand tongues not being enough all day long to praise the person of God. The generosity and the lavished love of God upon humanity in that at salvation all his sins were taken away to be remembered no more and are now made Sons no longer slaves, Royal Priesthood no longer Ordinary Servants is so enormous and deep that even hundreds of millions of tongues put together thanking him daily can still never be enough. The thought that all this was done and achieved at no cost to human only that he believes in the finished work birthed the writing and recording of this song.
EGBERUN AHON is a song that give multiple reactions and feelings. Its indigenous western African blend with an urban contemporary mix makes it almost impossible to remove on repeat. Its groovy beat and melodious tune makes it absolutely delightful to the ears and brings that appealing smile, joy and body movement all day long.
TOMIDE FRANK AKINYEMIJU is a Nigeria born Urban Gospel minister best known with the stage name TOMIDE. His style of music is uniquely defined by his infusion of fine African and indigenous rhythm and melody mixed with urban contemporary tunes. His music is more unique in that he writes songs in different genres with powerful and biblically relatable lyrics and with a perfect voice blend to each style and genre worthy of listening by any tribe, country and culture.
The ONDO state indigene though loved music never had the directive to pursue a career or start a music ministry not until after his University Education where he studied MATHEMATICS and some years after became clearer. Luckily he much earlier joined a local assembly where his knowledge and understanding of God’s word was sharpened and it has since been helpful in writing his lyrics to align with scriptural truth and reality.
Having a clearer purpose of making great melodies causing a lasting effect on his listeners and heralding the gospel in its truth and undiluted state, the dark skinned minister went on to start his music career releasing his first single in March 2018 titled “JESU DARA” meaning JESUS IS GOOD. It was well received and loved and thereafter in August 2020 he released another titled “THE LIFE YOU GAVE” which also received lots of air play and on repeat.
He is about to release another Awesome melody a fusion of African indigenous rhythm with western contemporary beat, lyrically sound and relatable. Also working on the Video of the song to be released shortly after too.
In 2022 in the first half, he will be working on his first EP and planning some other exciting projects.
