Lawrence Oyor has urged Christians to see giving as a practical expression of their love for God and commitment to kingdom work.
Using relationships as an illustration, he said love is often demonstrated through sacrifice and giving, pointing to John 3:16 as an example of God giving His Son out of love for the world.
“If you love God, show workings,” he said.
Oyor also spoke about the financial cost of organising crusades and large Christian gatherings, saying many believers enjoy the meetings without realising how much is spent behind the scenes.
He recounted conversations about evangelistic outreaches costing hundreds of thousands of dollars and said some major kingdom projects can run into hundreds of millions or even billions in local currency.
According to him, Christians should not always wait to be asked before supporting such efforts.
“This kingdom runs on giving,” he said.
His message was simple: if believers value evangelism, worship gatherings and kingdom advancement, they should also be willing to support the work with their resources.
