Candace Cameron Bure says that after decades in Hollywood, she does not want television, movies or career achievements to define the legacy she leaves behind.
Reflecting on turning 50, the Full House star said accomplishments and personal goals are no longer what she considers the greatest measure of success. Instead, she thinks about what she will leave behind for her children, grandchildren and the people who have followed her career.
For Bure, that legacy is centered on her Christian faith.
“That is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and sharing the love of God,” she said.
She has also described sharing the Gospel as the most important thing in her life and said her work in entertainment gives her creative opportunities to express her faith.
After years of Full House, Fuller House and numerous films, Bure says the legacy that matters most to her goes beyond entertainment.
Her message is a reminder that careers change and accomplishments eventually pass, but she wants her life to point people toward Jesus Christ.
