Floyd Mayweather publicly shared his admiration for U.S. President Donald Trump during a February 2025 appearance on Fox Business Network’s Making Money with Charles Payne.
Speaking about Trump’s presidency, the retired boxing champion said:
“In my eyes, he’s the best president we ever had.”
Mayweather also praised Trump’s business background, describing him as a “great businessman” and saying he believed Trump was “the man for the job.”
He acknowledged that Americans hold sharply different views about their presidents, adding that regardless of who occupies the White House, there will always be people who are dissatisfied.
Mayweather’s support for Trump was not new at the time. He had previously attended Trump’s first presidential inauguration in 2017.
The interview originally aired on February 26, 2025, but clips of Mayweather’s comments continue to circulate online.
