Nigerian gospel singer and worship leader Neon Adejo shares a heartfelt worship song titled “Impress.” Released on June 20, 2025, the song is centred on choosing God’s approval over human validation, fame, and applause.
“Impress” reflects on the pressure to be noticed and celebrated, while expressing a deeper desire to be led by the Spirit and live according to God’s will. Adejo makes it clear that awards, fame, and recognition cannot replace his relationship with God.
The song’s repeated declaration, “I don’t wanna impress nobody but You,” gives it a simple but powerful message of surrender and focus. Rather than seeking to impress people, Adejo chooses to walk with God and remain committed to Him.
With its soulful delivery and honest message, “Impress” is a reminder to keep God at the centre and not allow the pursuit of recognition to become more important than faith.
