Pastor Paul Enenche has advised content creators, bloggers and social media personalities to prioritise truth, integrity and positive impact rather than relying on gossip, offensive content or attacks on others to attract attention and grow their platforms.
Speaking during a sermon, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre encouraged those involved in digital content creation to consider the spiritual and moral implications of what they publish.
According to him, content creators should produce materials they would be comfortable accounting for before God.
“And all of you who are content creators, ensure that you create content that you can give account of before God when you’re meeting,” he said.
He explained that content should contribute positively to people’s lives, promote truth and reflect values that are consistent with Christian teachings.
The cleric also challenged the belief that controversial or negative content is necessary for social media growth.
“It’s not compulsory that it’s when you push garbage and rubbish and gossip and tearing people down that you grow,” he stated.
According to Pastor Enenche, content creators can achieve success without compromising their integrity or damaging other people’s reputations.
Drawing an example from the biblical account of Job, he noted that Job was described as a wealthy man who maintained his integrity.
He used the example to emphasise his belief that success and upright living are not mutually exclusive.
“I believe that you can be upright and be right up,” he declared.
Pastor Enenche further encouraged creators to produce truthful and realistic content that enhances human value rather than material that negatively influences their audiences.
His message challenges Christian content creators to consider not only the popularity of their posts but also the impact their content has on the people consuming it.
