Nigerian gospel minister and worship leader Ruth Okechukwu teams up with renowned worship minister Theophilus Sunday on “Come Up Hither,” a deeply spiritual worship song released on October 17, 2026. Inspired by Revelation 4:1, where the apostle John hears a heavenly voice calling him to come up and witness the things to be revealed, the song invites listeners into a deeper experience of God’s presence.
At its heart, “Come Up Hither” is a call to spiritual intimacy, growth, and alignment with the things of heaven. It encourages believers to move beyond earthly distractions and cultivate a deeper relationship with God, allowing their spirits to find true expression in His presence.
Through its extended worship atmosphere and prayerful declarations, Ruth Okechukwu and Theophilus Sunday create space for reflection, surrender, and spiritual awakening. The song emphasises the importance of setting one’s heart on Christ and becoming more conscious of the realities of life in Him.
“Come Up Hither” is an invitation to seek God beyond routine worship and pursue a deeper walk with Him. With its scripture-inspired message, the song encourages listeners to draw closer to God, renew their spiritual focus, and respond wholeheartedly to His call.
