Popular Nigerian on-air personality Do2dtun has publicly praised gospel minister Pastor Nathaniel Bassey. for what he described as remarkable selflessness, humility and commitment to spreading the gospel.
Speaking in a post on X on November 2, 2026, Do2dtun expressed admiration for Bassey’s decision not to monetise the Hallelujah Challenge despite the programme’s massive online audience and potential to generate substantial revenue.
His remarks followed reports that Nathaniel Bassey’s official YouTube channel had surpassed one billion cumulative views.
According to Do2dtun, what impressed him most was the gospel minister’s willingness to prioritise evangelism over the financial opportunities associated with such a large online audience.
“he creates a platform to win souls; he does it with the utmost humility,” he wrote.
The media personality explained that Bassey could potentially have earned significant income from the platform but had instead chosen to focus on its spiritual purpose.
Describing the decision as an example of selflessness, Do2dtun commended the gospel singer for maintaining what he believes is the original purpose of the worship initiative.
Pastor Nathaniel Bassey had previously explained during the October 2025 Hallelujah Challenge that he chose not to monetise the prayer sessions because he believed God had not directed him to do so.
Although the monetisation status of every video on his YouTube channel has not been independently established, Bassey has consistently maintained that the Hallelujah Challenge is primarily a spiritual assignment rather than a commercial venture.
Do2dtun’s comments highlight his admiration for the gospel minister’s approach to ministry and the relationship between faith, financial opportunities and Christian evangelism.
