ANYBODY YOU DON’T HAVE DIRECT ACCESS TO CANNOT BE YOUR FATHER IN THE LORD – APOSTLE EZEKIEL ADENIPEKUN

Apostle Ezekiel Adenipekun has advised ministers to distinguish between having a father in the faith and having a personal father in the Lord.

He questioned the practice of calling prominent ministers spiritual fathers when there is no personal relationship or direct access between both parties.

Using Apostle Joshua Selman as an example, he asked:

“Do you know his house? Does he know your house? Do you have his phone number? Does he have yours? What father are we doing then?”

According to Adenipekun, respected ministers can be celebrated as fathers in the faith, but a personal father in the Lord should be someone who knows the state of your life, can monitor your progress and is accessible in times of trouble.

“The person that knows the state of your life, the person that is monitoring your progress—that’s the person you should go and submit to.”
