Apostle Harrison Ayintete has reacted to recent comments by Solomon Buchi concerning pastors and ministry, questioning what he described as a growing trend of individuals publicly judging church leaders.
In his response, Ayintete argued that members of local churches should not assume authority over pastors or position themselves as judges over other ministries.
He wrote:
“The idea of a member in a local church invalidating the ministry of another pastor is totally unacceptable.”
Ayintete also questioned whether Buchi applies the same level of scrutiny to his own church environment, asking whether it was possible that nothing in his local church deserved similar public attention.
He further stated that social media influence should not be confused with spiritual authority, adding:
“Social media followership does not confer apostolic authority.”
The cleric also warned against what he described as bloggers or commentators acting as a “council over pastors,” insisting that correction within ministry should follow proper spiritual and church structures.
His comments have added to an ongoing online conversation about accountability, criticism of church leaders and the role of Christian commentators on social media.
