Pastor Mike Stone and his wife, Andrea, are mourning the death of their 19-year-old daughter, Sarah Ellington Stone, who reportedly passed away on November 3, 2026, following a prolonged illness.
According to the family’s account, Sarah spent the final 12 weeks of her life receiving hospice care after years of health challenges.
Despite the difficult circumstances surrounding her illness, her family remembered her for her strong Christian faith and commitment to encouraging others.
“Christ was her hope in this life. He is now her hope in death,” the family shared.
Sarah reportedly accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of six and continued expressing her faith throughout her life.
On her 19th birthday, her family announced the SonShine Foundation, an initiative inspired by her desire to support international Christian missions and families caring for children living with chronic illnesses.
The foundation reflects Sarah’s compassion for others and her family’s desire to continue supporting causes that mattered to her.
