Ghanaian gospel choir The Symphonials presents a vibrant worship performance titled “HighLife Medley.” The medley brings together traditional Ghanaian highlife and gospel sounds in a celebration of God’s goodness, faithfulness, and salvation.
The performance features several Ghanaian worship songs, including “Mentumi Mfa Me Ho,” “Metease Yi,” “Nea Wo De Mabedru Ni,” “Me Nim Nea Maya,” “Aseda Nkoaa,” “Maseda Dwom,” and “My Saviour Is So Mighty.” The songs were written by Sam Asare Bediako and James Varrick Armaah.
Released as a performance from The Symphonials’ Our Creator God Classical Concert at the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences, the medley combines choral harmonies with the rhythmic character of Ghanaian highlife.
The Symphonials’ “HighLife Medley” was also recognised in the Choral Song of the Year category at the 2019 Ghana National Gospel Music Awards.
