About Ijeoma Praise
Ijeoma Praise was born on April 17, 1987, and hails from Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria. her mother is from Nekede in Owerri North, Imo State.
she was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. John Ajereh and grew up alongside six siblings.
her educational journey includes Community Comprehensive Secondary School, a nursing school in Lagos, and Lagos State Polytechnic.
in 2011, she married Mr. Remi Uche Chinaka, and their marriage is blessed with four children, three boys and a girl.
Ijeoma Praise is a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), where she also serves as a choir singer.
Her Testimony: A Divine Call to Music
sharing the story behind her music ministry, Ijeoma Praise recalled how an encounter with a stranger became a turning point in her life.
according to her, the stranger delivered what she believed was a prophetic message, instructing her to join the church choir and wait for a gift.
she obeyed and waited for three months, expecting a material blessing. however, when nothing happened as she had anticipated, she became frustrated and expressed her disappointment to God in prayer.
she recounted that later that night, she heard singing inside her home, even though everyone was asleep.
according to her testimony, she heard a voice announcing that her time had come and instructing her to record the songs being given to her.
she described the experience as deeply spiritual, saying she began speaking in tongues and receiving several songs.
however, the financial challenges of recording the songs became overwhelming, and she eventually prayed for the inspiration to stop.
the turning point came when she shared her experience with a fellow choir member, Sister Elizabeth, while cleaning the church.
Sister Elizabeth encouraged her to seek God’s forgiveness for rejecting what she believed was a divine gift.
Ijeoma Praise said that after praying for forgiveness, the inspiration returned immediately, leading to the birth of “Tears of Joy.”
Her Musical Journey
with the encouragement and support of her husband, Ijeoma Praise took a major step in her music ministry by releasing her debut album, “My Time Has Come for Me to Shine,” in 2025.
her third album, “He Knows It All,” reflects her conviction that God knows every detail of human life, from beginning to end, and that nothing is impossible with Him.
through her music, Ijeoma Praise hopes to share her testimony, encourage believers, and inspire listeners to remain steadfast in their faith, even during difficult seasons.
