Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader Steve Crown delivers a powerful declaration of God’s eternal nature in “You Are Yahweh (Alpha Omega).” Released in 2018 and later featured on his 2019 album Faith Is Rising, the song has become a much-loved worship anthem in churches and Christian gatherings. Its simple yet profound message centres on God’s sovereignty, faithfulness, and unchanging nature.
At the heart of “You Are Yahweh” is the declaration that God is the One who was, who is, and who is to come. By calling Him the Alpha and Omega, the song acknowledges Him as the beginning and the end, the One who exists beyond time and remains faithful through every generation. It also expresses complete trust in Jesus, recognising Him as the miracle-working God whose hands hold our lives.
With its repetitive chorus and deeply reverent atmosphere, the song creates room for personal reflection and corporate worship. Steve Crown’s heartfelt delivery encourages listeners to move beyond their circumstances and focus on God’s greatness, lifting their voices in adoration of His holy name.
“You Are Yahweh” is a reminder that God remains constant regardless of what changes around us. Through this worship anthem, Steve Crown invites listeners to trust in God’s sovereignty, celebrate His eternal nature, and worship Him as the Alpha and Omega.
