1: TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF
My name is Ibukunoluwa Adediran, and I am a passionate gospel artist dedicated to spreading the message of God’s love through music. My journey is rooted in faith, and my goal is to inspire, uplift, and connect people to God through every song I create.

2: TELL US ABOUT YOUR NEW RELEASE TITLED “FAITHFUL GOD”

“Faithful God” is more than just a song to me, it is a deeply personal expression of my journey with God. It speaks of His unchanging nature and His presence through every season of my life. There were moments I tried to put my experiences into words, but I realized no lyrics could fully capture all I’ve been through. The only phrase that truly made sense was Faithful God.
Every line in the song, as simple as it may sound, carries a weight of real experiences times of struggle, disappointment, and moments when people let me down. Yet, through it all, God never failed me. He showed up for me again and again, in ways only He could.
Out of everything I’ve faced, one truth remains clear: only God deserves all the glory. This song is my testimony, my gratitude, and my reminder to anyone listening that no matter what you go through, God remains faithful. The song is meant to encourage listeners to trust Him completely.

3: HOW DID MUSIC START FOR YOU?

Music has always been a part of me, but interestingly, I never liked singing at first. I actually joined the choir for a completely different reason, to get the opportunity to learn how to play the piano, since I grew up in church.
While learning the keyboard, something unexpected began to happen. I found myself wanting to praise God in a deeper, more personal way, through songs that truly reflected what I felt in my heart. That was how I began to compose music, simply expressing my emotions and experiences with God in my own way. At the time, I didn’t see it as anything serious, I was just being real with God.
I continued this quietly through my university years, but it became even more intense and expressive during my service year. After my NYSC, when I became a youth choir leader, I began to intentionally develop my voice and gift as a singer. That was when everything started to take shape.
Over time, what started as a personal expression grew into a genuine passion for singing and songwriting. Eventually, it became more than passion, it became a calling to minister. God confirmed this in different ways, speaking to me and reminding me that “the Gentiles shall come to the brightness of my rising.” That was when I truly understood that music was not just something I do, it is part of my purpose.

4: WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT GOSPEL ARTISTES FEATURING SECULAR ARTISTES?

For me, gospel music is first a ministry before it is music. It is a calling to represent Christ clearly and to carry a message that points people directly to God. Because of this, I am very intentional about preserving the purity and focus of that message.
Personally, I would not collaborate with secular artistes because I believe my assignment requires consistency in both message and representation. It’s important to me that everyone involved in my music shares the same spiritual conviction and purpose, so that the message is not diluted or misunderstood.
I deeply respect every artist and their craft, but for me, staying aligned with my calling means working with those who share the same faith and vision. My priority is to ensure that every song remains a true reflection of my relationship with God and a clear channel for His message.

5: ARE YOU WORKING ON ANY NEW PROJECTS? If YES, TELL US ABOUT IT.

Yes, I am currently working on new music projects that will further express my journey of faith and growth. I am working on a song titled No other name and “Faithful and Truth”

6: WHICH ARTIST WOULD YOU LOVE TO WORK WITH?

I would love to work with artists who share a deep passion for God and whose type of music resonnate with me. Like Dunsin Oyekan, Nathaniel Bassey, Sunmisola Agbebi and BBO.

7: HAVE YOU HAD ANY CHALLENGES AS A GOSPEL ARTISTE?
Yes, like every journey, there have been challenges such as staying consistent, balancing life and ministry, getting my music to the right audiences, and navigating the music industry, one of my life goal is seeing choirs of different churches singing my song, however, while I wait, God’s grace has been sufficient, and each challenge has helped me grow stronger in faith.
