Franklin Graham made the remarks during a recent interview with Sean Hannity, where they discussed artificial intelligence, globalization, and biblical end times propnecy.
Graham pointed to the rapid development of Al and increasingly interconnected global financial systems as developments he believes could make the one world system described in Revelation possible.
He also emphasized that his hope is not in political parties or earthly governments, but in Jesus Christ.
“I believe the time is near,” Graham said, while acknowledging that he does not know when Christ will return. He pointed to Matthew 24, where Jesus tells His followers to watch for signs of His coming.
But Graham’s message was not simply a warning about world events or emerging technology.
He urged people to examine their own hearts, confess their sins, and make sure they are ready to meet the Lord.
“Is there any sin in my life that I need to confess?” he asked.
Scripture tells us that no one knows the day or hour of Christ’s return. In Matthew 24:42, Jesus commands His followers to watch because they do not know when their Lord will come.
That means our response should not be fear or speculation, but faithful living, repentance, and sharing the Gospel while we have the opportunity.
As Graham emphasized, the ultimate hope of believers is not found in political systems, technological progress, or human leadership. Our hope is in Jesus Christ.
The question is not whether we can predict the day of His return. It is whether we are ready when He comes.
