Dude Perfect co-founder Tyler Toney has shared that his Christian faith began with a simple but significant decision he made as a child.
Toney said that when he was 7 years old, he began asking his father questions about what it meant to personally accept Jesus as Savior.
According to Toney, his father told him that he would understand when the time was right.
Toney later recalled:
“I brought him back in, asked him if he would help me pray to receive Christ as a 7-year-old.”
That childhood decision would become part of a much larger faith journey.
Years later, Toney became one of the co–founders of Dude Perfect, the sports and entertainment group that has grown into a global brand with tens of millions of followers.
But Toney has repeatedly said that the group’s platform is about more than entertainment.
He has explained that Dude Perfect wants to use its influence to glorify Jesus Christ and share the source of the joy and hope its members have found in Him.
For Christians, his testimony is a reminder that faith can begin with something as simple as a child asking honest questions and choosing to follow Jesus.
What starts as one prayer can shape an entire life.
“Train up a child in the way he should go…” — Proverbs 22:6
Never underestimate the spiritual seeds planted in childhood. God can use one sincere decision to follow Christ in ways no one can fully see at the beginning.
