Nigerian clergyman Pastor Yemi Davids, founder of Global Impact Church, has cautioned unmarried individuals against casually engaging in kissing without considering the possible consequences.
Speaking during a sermon, the preacher questioned the growing acceptance of physical intimacy among unmarried couples.
“it’s easy to kiss now, even if you are not married,” he remarked.
Pastor Davids went further to raise concerns about personal hygiene, suggesting that individuals may not fully know the health conditions or oral hygiene of the people they become physically intimate with.
Using humour to communicate his message, he questioned whether physical attraction and appearance were enough reasons to engage in such intimacy.
His remarks highlight his emphasis on caution, personal boundaries and responsible decision-making in romantic relationships.
While kissing can transmit certain infections, appearance alone cannot establish whether someone has an infection.
