Pastor Toluwalogo Agboola has urged Christians to prepare for a rapidly changing future, warning that skill without adaptability may no longer be enough as technology continues to transform different sectors.
“Versatility is the language of the future,” Agboola said. “Now you are dealing with men. In the future, it will be man against machine.”
He argued that people should be able to adapt when circumstances or opportunities take them into unfamiliar sectors rather than becoming limited to a single expression of their abilities.
Agboola also addressed technological advancement from a spiritual perspective, teaching that Christians who remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit can continue to demonstrate God’s glory even in an age of increasingly capable machines.
“Let them make the best machines. Those that yield in the church will compete because God will still demonstrate glory,” he said.
He further challenged Christians not to approach the future with what he described as an escapist mentality. Instead, he encouraged believers to carry their faith and values into workplaces, industries and institutions.
“We may not rule the places, we may not rule the systems,” he said, “but the promise is that the earth shall be filled with the consciousness of the glory of God.”
Agboola concluded by encouraging believers to desire involvement in what they believe God is doing in their generation.
“Lord, whatever You are doing in this season, don’t do it without me,” he said.
