Now, six years later, the “Yes You Can” singer says, despite the painfulness of the loss, “It made me a better man.”

For those who have lost a spouse, Sapp said, “If they haven’t found a good support system as it pertains to getting counseling, get one. We need someone to help us process our pain.”
But not only that, Sapp added, “Allow yourself to live and enjoy life”—something the popular artist is intent on doing in light of his upcoming birthday.
“I am hitting a milestone in the next year,” shared Sapp. “I will be 50 years old and an empty-nester. The sky is truly the limit. I have the opportunity to forecast my life anew.”
Though he has been through a lot in his life, Sapp is living proof of Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose
