Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr has spoken about the sacrificial nature of love, arguing that anything truly valuable will always demand something from us.
“Nothing of value is ever free. If love is the most valuable, then it means there must be a cost to love,” he said.
His message is a reminder that genuine love goes beyond words, emotions and convenience.
Love requires time.
Love requires patience.
Love requires sacrifice.
And sometimes, love requires choosing another person’s good even when it costs you something.
If love never demands anything from you, it may be worth asking how deep that love truly is.
