Evangelist Franklin Graham just preached to a packed arena in Manchester, England. He reports that more than 10,000 people filled the seats, and over 800 of them gave their lives to Christ.
“I think you do see pockets of revival, no question,” Graham told CBN News.
One of those who came forward was Amy Reonnah, 19. She said, &When I walked forward and prayed, it felt really amazing,” adding that it was “as if someone touched my soul” and “I really felt God’s presence.
Graham says that even as the UK grows more secular, there are millions of hungry hearts” and “searching souls” looking for their Creator. From the stage he preached, “Jesus came to save us. He didn’t come to condemn us. If you remember anything tonight, remember this: God loves you.”
This is what God does. Culture can grow cold, but hearts stay hungry. When the simple Gospel is preached and believers invite their neighbors, the Holy Spirit still moves. Let’s not just watch this from a distance. Let’s stand with it in prayer.
Jesus said, iThe harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37). Pray for Amy and every new believer from Manchester to be planted in a strong local church. Pray for UK pastors to have strength for the harvest, and for these pockets of revival to spread.
