Towards the end of our time of worship In
Jerusalem tonight, the word of the Lord resounded
in my heart. GIDEON !
Immediately, I reached out for my iPad and
searched out some scriptures.
“13 And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and
where be all his miracles which our fathers told us
of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt?
but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered
us into the hands of the Midianites.
14 And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the
hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?”
Just like Gideon, discouraged, depressed and in
despair, asked like you and I are doing right now,
in the light of the things happening in our country
at the moment, ” Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us,why then is all this befallen us?”
Why is this fuel scarcity befalling us?
Why is the black out befalling
us?When is the terrorism befalling us?
Why is the kidnapping befalling us?
Why is the famine and
economic downturn befalling us?Why is the
darkness befalling us?Why? Believe me, just reading about the things
back home has been near depressing. And can
only imagine how it has been for you also.
But I bring you a message of hope and courage
tonight. It is a fact that most folks are discouraged,
just like I’ve been. But the word of the Lord says to you and I, “GO IN THIS THY MIGHT. THOU SHALL SAVE
NIGERIA”
It may sound unrealistic and impossible in the face
of the gross darkness across the land, but the very
light needed to pierce the darkness, is right inside
us.
I chose to believe, NIGERIA IS RISING AND SHINING
AGAIN!
