Nigerian gospel minister and worship leader Nathaniel Bassey has released a powerful new praise medley titled The Battle Belongs to God Praise Medley, taken from his 2026 live worship project The Life Recording. The project was released on August 14, 2026.
The 14 minute medley brings together three songs, The Battle Belongs to God, You Are You, and Jehovah Nissi, creating an extended expression of praise centred on God’s power, sovereignty, and victory.
The Battle Belongs to God, written by Apostle Joshua Selman and Nathaniel Bassey, draws from the biblical account of Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20, reminding believers that some battles are beyond human strength and must be entrusted to God.
The medley carries a strong message of faith and confidence in God, encouraging listeners to respond to difficult seasons with praise rather than fear.
Speaking about the release, Nathaniel Bassey described it as both a sound of praise and a declaration of victory and dominion over the works of the enemy.
The recording also connects with songs that have become familiar through Bassey’s Hallelujah Challenge, giving listeners a fresh opportunity to experience them together in a sustained live worship setting.
