Apostle Joshua Selman has encouraged believers to make Scripture part of their daily response to life, especially when facing negative situations.
He said Christians should begin their day intentionally declaring God’s Word rather than allowing circumstances to control their thoughts.
“This is the day that the Lord has made. I rejoice and I am glad in it,” he said.
Selman explained that when bad news, offensive words or difficult situations arise, believers should respond with faith instead of fear, bitterness or frustration.
“I choose to be peaceful. I reject offense. I am a child of God,” he said.
He also encouraged believers to speak positively over their day, their work and the relationships connected to their destiny.
“As I step out today, favour follows me,” he declared.
Selman added that even ordinary moments, such as getting ready in the morning, can become opportunities for prayer, thanksgiving and speaking Scripture.
For him, living by the Word means allowing Scripture to shape both your confession and your response to circumstances.
“This is the believer living by the Word of God.”
