Pastor David Oyedepo Jnr has emphasized the importance of not only being born again but remaining steadfast in the Christian faith.
“Be born again and remain so,” he said, referencing Hebrews 2:3 and stressing that salvation is essential to overcoming what he described as the invisible barriers of life.
Oyedepo Jnr also challenged the doctrine commonly expressed as “once saved, always saved.”
“Once saved is not always saved. Let’s be careful,” he said.
Referencing Hebrews 3:6 and 3:14, he pointed to the biblical emphasis on holding firmly to one’s confidence in Christ until the end.
“We are made partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast all the way to the end,” he said.
His message emphasized continued faith and perseverance rather than treating salvation as something that requires no further commitment.
