Dunsin Oyekan has urged believers not to treat every dream as an unavoidable prediction of what must happen.
“The realm of dreams is a volatile realm,” he said, adding that what gives believers balance is the Word of God.
Oyekan challenged the idea that a disturbing dream automatically determines a person’s future.
“Every dream is a suggestion to you,” he said. “When you wake up, what you do next determines your acceptance or refusal.”
He shared that there was a period when he experienced troubling dreams and eventually turned to Psalm 2 for encouragement.
Referencing the passage, “He who sits in the heavens shall laugh,” Oyekan said Scripture helped reshape the way he responded to fear.
His message was simple: do not allow a frightening dream to become your final authority. Let Scripture shape your response, your faith and what you choose to believe.
