Apostle Emmanuel Iren has warned Christians against thinking of Satan as though he were an equal rival to God.
“Satan is not the equal opposite of God,” he said.
Iren argued that Scripture presents the devil as a created being under divine authority, not as a power equal to God.
He referenced Revelation, where Michael the archangel is involved in conflict with Satan, using the passage to stress what he sees as the vast difference between God and the devil.
“Some Christians are more conscious of the devil’s ability than of God’s ability,” he said.
His central message was that Christian teaching should emphasize God’s supreme authority rather than magnifying the power of Satan.
