Pastor Poju Oyemade has urged believers to be intentional about the words they speak during difficult seasons.
According to him, moments of hardship are not the time to casually declare defeat, stagnation or hopelessness over one’s life.
Using the illustration of a ship, Oyemade explained that a ship does not sink merely because water surrounds it. It sinks when the water gets inside.
In the same way, he said difficult circumstances become more dangerous when people allow what is happening around them to enter their hearts and begin shaping the words they speak.
“During the night season, you speak about the new day,” he said.
Oyemade also stressed the importance of relationships, warning believers to be careful about remaining in circles where negative words and limiting perspectives are constantly spoken.
“Your inner circle must be tight with spiritual people,” he said.
His message was a call to guard both your words and your relationships, especially in difficult seasons. Speak in agreement with what you believe God has said about your future, and be careful who you allow to continually speak into your life.
