Apostle Femi Lazarus has shared a humorous childhood assumption many people may relate to.
“Growing up, I used to believe that if I went somewhere and saw someone wearing glasses, that person knew book,” he said.
It is funny, but the statement also points to something deeper:
We often judge people by appearance.
Glasses can make someone look intelligent. A suit can make someone look successful. Confidence can make someone appear knowledgeable.
But appearances do not always tell the full story.
Real wisdom, competence and character are revealed by what a person actually knows, how they think and how they live.
Sometimes what looks impressive from the outside is not the same as what is truly inside.
