My name is Sarah Chisom Uwaoma and my stage
name is El-Chisom! The name Chisom is an Igbo
name from the south eastern part of Nigeria which
is translated ” God goes with me” while El is one of
the Hebrew names for God which is translated ”
Almighty”
I’m from Abia State, born and raised in Lagos,I’m
the 6th of 7 children and a graduate of theatre
Arts from the university of Abuja. I’m 5.9 inches
tall,an extrovert and i love football.
• You Had Success Doing “Gospel” Music, Did You Ever Regret Going Into Gospel?.
I can boldly tell you that I’ve had success doing
Gospel music because success according God’s
definition is doing what God has called you to do. I
don’t ever regret doing Gospel music and will never
regret.
• Are You Working On Any New Project? If Yes Tell Us About It
I’m currently working on new projects , which
includes recording of my other tracks,live
recordings and very soon the ” live recording
video” of my Debut single Alagbara will be out.
• Having Been In The Music Industry For A Long Time, Do You Feel That Gospel Music Is Actively Spreading The Word of God?
Yes,gospel music is actively spreading the the word
of God because we have a lot of folks who are yet
to receive Jesus but they listen to Gospel music from
the likes of sinach,frank Edwards and a couple of
other gospel ministers and this is because Gospel
music is not ordinary, it is spiritual, it has content, quality and excellence. Personally, i have friends
from the other faith who do enjoy listening to
gospel music.
• Any Last Words For Your Fans?
for my fans i will say; keep the faith,don’t be weary
in doing what is right,let your lives and character be
a sign post that will continually lead people to Christ
and for those who are yet to receive the Lord Jesus,
i will say that a life without Christ is useless and
heading nowhere! Please, allow Jesus into your lives and He will give it a meaning. Work hard,chase
after your dreams and put your trust in God only. I
promise to work harder and birth more great
sounds through the help of the holy Spirit. Thank
