Nigerian Gospel Music Artiste Nosa continues with the part 2 of his recent post” Gospel Music in Nigeria Part 2″ Took to his Instagram page to reveal what Gospel Music In Nigeria is all about. He said

My Dear Naija brethren, you can worship in a jail cell with no instruments, and the Holy Spirit will show up whereas you can worship in an elaborate concert without the presence of God.
Gospel (or Christian) music is beyond praise and worship because it entails different messages and different sounds and styles of music. There are those who do rock-styled gospel, hip-hop/rap, r ‘n’ b, soul, afro, etc.

So, take the guy who does hip hop. Hip hop/rap music has long been associated with a culture of social vices, so it’s a struggle getting it into church. This guy is hardly welcome in church, no matter how deeply spiritual his lyrics are, because it’s not “praise and worship”; neither does he have a platform in mainstream industry, so what does such a person do? Dods he learn a new style of music? How else can he express himself if not the way he knows best?
IS EVERY CHRISTIAN MUSICIAN CALLED to WORSHIP? Yes, BECAUSE EVERY CHRISTIAN IS CALLED to WORSHIP.
BUT IS EVERY CHRISTIAN MUSICIAN CALLED TO HAVE A CAREER OR “MINISTRY” OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP or TO SING IN CHURCH? NO. NO. NO.
When we begin to think beyond only doing church to playing a part in the Kingdom, we’ll realise that the playing field lies far beyond the walls of the church. Sometimes to silence your enemy, you have to do some shouting of your own. There are those who have been called to go beyond Church, but only those who understand Kingdom would resonate with such people.
