Man reportedly coughs up blood after denouncing Jesus Christ at Charlie Kirk’s university event

A disturbing incident reportedly occurred during a campus event hosted by the late American conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Illinois State University on April 8, 2025.

According to an eyewitness account published by Illinois Times, a young man approached the microphone during Kirk’s American Comeback Tour and publicly denounced Jesus Christ.

Shortly afterwards, the individual reportedly experienced a severe coughing fit and began spitting up blood.

The eyewitness, Brian Bowles, described how the man struggled to regain his composure before leaving the microphone.

According to Bowles, Kirk alerted his medical team to the situation and used the moment to caution the audience against mocking Christ.

The report also described another attendee who appeared at the event dressed as Satan, wearing a goat-like headpiece and a dark robe.

Although the incident has since been circulated online alongside religious warnings, there is no verified medical evidence establishing why the young man reportedly began coughing up blood.

There is also no evidence that the episode was caused by supernatural intervention or punishment for his statements about Christianity.

The account was published on April 17, 2025, nine days after the campus event.

For Christians, the story has prompted reflection on respect for religious beliefs, the importance of compassion and the responsibility to respond appropriately when someone experiences a medical emergency.
