Renowned GRAMMY-winning worship artist Chris Tomlin has released his long-awaited 18th studio album, The King Is Still The King — now available worldwide on all streaming platforms and in music stores. The new project solidifies Tomlin’s standing as a cornerstone in modern Christian worship music.
Ahead of the full release, Tomlin offered fans a taste of the album through several singles, including “Jesus Saves,” “Doesn’t He,” “The First Hymn” featuring Ben Fielding, and the radio hit “How Good It Is.” Each song embodies his signature style — heartfelt worship woven with timeless biblical truth and melodies crafted to uplift both congregations and individual listeners.
Reflecting on the new body of work, Tomlin shared,
> “My prayer is that these songs fill every space — your car, your home, and your heart — with the presence of God. These songs were written to be sung. So turn them up, sing them out, and may you be deeply blessed.”
The album’s title track, “The King Is Still The King,” premiered live on YouTube in a special Live From VEVO Studios session, followed by an exclusive AfterParty event for YouTube Premium subscribers. The performance gave fans a closer look at Tomlin’s creative process and the spiritual inspiration behind the music.
To celebrate the release, Tomlin has embarked on his fall headline tour, An Evening of Worship with Chris Tomlin, which kicked off in Buffalo, NY, and Cincinnati, OH. Spanning 20 U.S. cities until November 8, the tour features The Heritage in their first major tour appearance. Presented by TPR and sponsored by Food For The Hungry, the event blends powerful worship with a mission to make a global impact.
Unlike Tomlin’s previous arena tours — which have sold out legendary venues such as Madison Square Garden, Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and Bridgestone Arena — this year’s tour intentionally returns to the heart of worship: the local church.
Often called “the most sung artist in the world,” Chris Tomlin has shaped modern worship with enduring songs like “How Great Is Our God,” “Our God,” “Good Good Father,” and “Holy Forever.” Through The King Is Still The King, he continues his lifelong mission of crafting songs that connect believers across generations and continents.
At its core, the album is a powerful reminder that Christ’s reign never falters. In a world filled with uncertainty, Tomlin’s latest project reaffirms the steadfast truth — that God’s sovereignty and goodness remain unshaken through every season.
