GOSPEL news: American Pastor Abducted In South Africa Regains Freedom After Shoot-Out

An American pastor who was abducted at gunpoint during a sermon last week in South Africa has regained his freedom after a dramatic police rescue.

Reports confirm that the pastor, Josh Sullivan, was freed following a police operation that resulted in the deaths of three suspects.

Sullivan had been delivering a sermon at Fellowship Baptist Church when armed men stormed the building and kidnapped him.

According to authorities, the suspects attempted to escape in a vehicle as police closed in, opening fire on the officers. In the ensuing shoot-out, the three suspects were fatally wounded, and Pastor Sullivan was rescued from the vehicle, miraculously unharmed.

Sullivan is currently under medical observation and is expected to reunite with his family soon.

According to his personal website, Pastor Sullivan and his family arrived in South Africa from Tennessee in November 2018.
