South Korean researcher YoungHoon Kim, who claims to hold the world’s highest IQ with a reported score of 276, has attracted international attention for publicly declaring his belief in Jesus Christ and the authority of the Bible.
On June 17, 2025, Kim shared a statement on X expressing his christian convictions.
“As the world’s highest IQ record holder, i believe that Jesus Christ is God, the way and the truth and the life,” he wrote.
in another post on June 19, Kim described the Bible as the perfect, eternal and final Word of God.
“The Bible doesn’t need to be updated. the world needs to catch up,” he declared.
Kim, who has studied christian theology at Yonsei University, has repeatedly discussed his belief in Jesus Christ, presenting Christianity as central to his understanding of truth and existence.
His statements have drawn attention to conversations about the relationship between intelligence, reason and religious faith.
However, although Kim’s reported IQ of 276 has received recognition from several organisations, independent intelligence researchers have questioned the accuracy and comparability of the score. His claim to hold the world’s highest IQ is therefore disputed.
For Christians, his public declarations reflect a personal testimony of faith and the importance he places on Scripture.
