Pastor E.A. Adeboye has reflected on the global growth of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, saying the church’s expansion cannot be credited to human strength alone.
“RCCG is in more than 190 nations of the world, and I have never been to more than half of those nations,” he said.
Adeboye used the scale of the church’s international presence to emphasize what he believes is the hand of God behind its growth.
“God is the One doing everything. It is not by our power,” he said.
RCCG sources currently describe the denomination as having a presence in more than 190 nations, while earlier messages from Adeboye also record him saying there are many countries where RCCG is established that he has never personally visited.
For Adeboye, the expansion is therefore not something he believes any individual leader should take personal credit for.
His message was simple: when the results become greater than what one person could personally accomplish, the glory should return to God.
