Revealed: Gospel Singer, Segun Obe Explains Why He Took A Break From Music

Gospel singer, Segun Obe, has revealed that his newly found occupation of being a voice coach, is the reason why his music career has not been active.

Obe explained in an interview with Punch News that he finds a great amount of fulfillment training people who want to improve their singing ability.

He disclosed that his coaching job has taken him outside the shores of Nigeria, where trained some international choirs.

“I believe God has deposited many more skills in me than just singing. Training other people to achieve their maximum potential as vocal geniuses is one of my gifts and I find it fulfilling.”

“When I die, I want to be remembered for the dreams I helped to nurture. It was not difficult for me to step into coaching.”

“I don’t only coach individuals but choirs also. I’ve coached a number of choirs in several churches both in Nigeria and abroad”.

“I trained the choir of Harvesters International Christian Centre for about two years and also trained the choirs of Guiding Light Assembly and Holy Ghost Praying Centre for about a year”.

“At present, I am engaged as a trainer with the choir of Daystar Christian Centre, Ikeja, Lagos. I also trained the choir of Winners Chapel branch in Maryland, USA. I have found a part of myself”.

The singer cum voice trainer is the brother of Tunde Obe, a singer, actor and show host.
