Pastor Philip Olubakin has warned young men against allowing romantic relationships to consume their focus and emotional stability.
He used the example of someone becoming moody simply because a woman has not replied to a message.
“You are a man with a call of God. You are a man with a destiny to pursue,” he said.
Olubakin then referenced Jacob’s long pursuit of Rachel, using the biblical story as a humorous illustration of how romantic attachment can dominate a person’s attention and time.
His central message was that relationships should not become so consuming that a person loses focus on purpose, responsibility and personal growth.
