Fresh off the buzz of his album release concert themed “Floodgates”, Obiora Obiwon gifts music lovers with a free download single for the Christmas holiday entitled “Oh Jesus”.
Oh Jesus is pure worship music in a weave of highlife and pop rock chords, laid over a unique blend of contemporary sounds and local instruments. Lyrically the song pans a repetitive hook through four Nigerian languages and crescendos in English, a symbolic expression of the universality of Jesus to all mankind, regardless of tribe or race.
In Obiwon’s own words, “...Christmas is the biggest celebration in the entire world every single year, year in year out… no man that ever walked the earth is celebrated in such a manner… Enjoy the reason for the season with “Oh Jesus”, apt for this Christmas and for all times”.
