“Jesus Your love is good” is a love song to and about Jesus Christ, based on personal and collective experience. The song is in line with Romans 5:8 which states that God demonstrates His love for us in that while we were yet sinners Jesus Christ died for us and Romans 8:28 which reveals that in all things God works together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Jesus Christ knew us before we were born (Jeremiah 1:5) and located us with His love. Due to His love for us, “God made him [Jesus Christ] who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” : what a superior love! God is love and he who possesses and demonstrates pure divine love knows God. Our response to such love should be to love God with all our heart, mind and soul, and love our neighbour as ourselves (Matthew 22:38-39). There is no other love like the love of Jesus Christ and we are the greatest beneficiaries of this gracious love. We are called upon to experience fully and demonstrate this love as disciples of JesusChrist.
